I love lasagne but have never made it, have done Spaghetti Bolognese etc all the chefs recipes vary just want basic but tasty!

Thanks Eccles, I've bookmarked that recipe and will give it a whirl next week maybe.
It is fabulous Rocky, I make four times the amount and freeze it in batches and use it for Spag Bog or lasagne.

Because it is a meat sauce rather than a tomato one it is much drier and suited better to lasagne IMHO.
Great, I did think there was a lack of tomatoes in the ingredient list but I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Actually it's half term so I'll get my little Delia to make it :)
When you talk about letting it stand, are you talking about after it's assembled and before it's put in the oven, or letting it stand after you take it out of the oven?

The resting happens after it is cooked Tilly, just like you'd do with a joint of meat.

I cook mine on a very low heat for a couple of hours and rest it for 10-15 minutes once it's out of the oven.
They sell Bechamel sauce in Waitrose if you can't be bothered to make it yourself - although I don't know what it's like.
