How To Make Good Friendship With A Boy You Just Came To Know?

Hello, I have a bit problem regarding being friends with boys, like I don't really know what to talk about. I don't want awkward silence neither interviewing all the time, but I want to be an interesting and good friend with my cousin. we lived in different countries so couldn't get chance to meet each other we just met like two times, first time was just 5 minutes hello, and then second was quite long meeting like 1,2 hours. he came to our house with his family, we just talked about studies and job and career opportunities. I want some tips like how should I behave next time we meet or what topics should we discuss so that he don't find me boring and we end up being good friends, and what could be done that he wants to talk to me more and show interest.
