I know there are loads of books that teach you about photography, but is there a book that is just a book of photographs(professional ones)? if there is..what is it/they called & where can I buy it/them from? ...also..if there are loads of books like that, are there any that are just black & white photos?
thanks!

Amazon.co.uk (or .com) will stock many, though it's much better if you can actually pick up a photo book and look at it. Some will be classic older photographers (Bill Brandt, Ansel Adams...), some modern ones (like David Bailey or Helmut Newton). Older ones are more likely to be black and white, as colour photography has only become widespread over the last 20 years or so. Some will be on a particular theme or country - and there are photography books on almost any theme and country. You'll be spoiled for choice, really, so it might help to have some idea of what you want before you start looking; or just jump in and enjoy yourself.

"The photo book" by Phaidon press is a good start. Don McCullan is a famous Black and white photographer, but his stuff (though not all of it) is pretty hardcore vietnam stuff. Not for the feint hearted. Ralph Eugene Meatyard is cool, Manray, Diane Arbus and Sabastiao Salgardo are worth looking at too. Ansel adams is know better for his awesome printing rather than his photography.
