I had a sovereign pendant. I lost it and some kind honest person handed it in to the local nick, so I considered it very lucky. Wore it to go on holiday and suffered frightening turbulence followed by a crap holiday. Left it in the box for months. Next holiday we were burgled while away. I sincerely hope it brought as much bad luck to them as it did to me. I blame my Dad as it was minted the year of his birth.
