Clegg Hedges His Bets For 2015
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -politi cs-2622 2407
Apparently Clegg now thinks he can work with Labour. As he is likely to end up with less than half his present number of seats after next years election, exactly what does he think he can bargain with ? Is there nothing this man won't consider to stay in the limelight ?

"The Tories are like rats...you think you have got rid of them but they always come back"
Another one ::
"This island is almost made of coal and surrounded by fish. Only an organizing genius could produce a shortage of coal and fish in Great Britain at the same time.”

//And the party will lose many many seats//
But will they? Come the General election I suspect many liberal voters will think again. Political wilderness or some chance to get some of their policies in.
Personally I credit liberals with more common sense then to bite off their own nose to spite their face.
Time may prove me wrong of course and I'm sure you will dig this post out to remind me come election time Gromit ;-)

// The Lib Dems will feel hard done by, losing our deposit for the eighth time this parliament. Our vote share collapsed, by an even greater proportion than did the Tories’, down from a decent third placed 22% to a fourth place 5%. That clearly isn’t a reflection on our candidate, Mary di Mauro, but on the impact on joining the Coalition, especially in northern areas like Greater Manchester. //

The LibDems were the protest vote. I voted for them at the last election. I will not make that mistake again. UKiP will replace them as a protest vote and will push them into 4th in many constituencies. The sad thing is, judging by the quote above, the LibDems sre resigned to their fate.
