Malaysian Drinks/shot
Is there such a thing as a shot that you would find?
I'm having a Malaysian themed dinner party and I found a recipe for a Thai Cosmopolitan which i'm thinking of making for everyone arriving but for my starter I was thinking to have a shot glass on a rectangular plate with the starter served with it.
Any suggestions would be brilliant.

I'm going to do a chicken satay, fish cake and stuck on a third thing. It will be one of each on the plate along with a shot.
Its all the girls so there's more thought going into the drink/cocktails than the food!!

You could also consider a Singapore Sling, it was part of Malaysia for a while

Being a Moslem country, Malaysia has little in the way of traditional alcoholic drinks. But there is a cocktail that was invented in a Kuala Lumpur hotel called a 'Jungle Bird'. I'm not familiar with the 'Black Strap' rum it calls for, but imagine it would be similar to Captain Morgan or Lambs Navy rum, both of which contain molasses. Google for 'jungle bird cocktail'.
