when i record on my samung dvd recorder the disc will not not play on other dvds any ideas why

Quite a few postings further down about this problem on other recorders. Check your manual about how to FINALISE a recordable DVD (I don't think you need to with DVD RW).


Also check on the differences beween DVD +R and DVD -R. Even when finalised, some DVD players can only play one kind.

Some players require you to format the disc for other users.
