Why only show your proud to be English every 4 years??
Im VERY English, And VERY proud of it. But the only time people in this country have the guts, or can be bothered to fly an English flag is every 4 years at a poxy football match. Even the hypocite Government are going to fly one over number 10!!! They havent got the nerve to fly it all year round! But they'll do it for a poxy football tornament!!!! OUR country is being taken over by all nationalities. We are not allowed to be English anymore incase we offend some foriegner. If you are white, english and christian in this country you might as well give up. Yet the ONLY time anyone has the guts to stand up and say "WE ARE ENGLISH AND PROUD" is for a football tornament! Any other time everyone just sits back and lets our traditions, our way of life be pushed aside to suite Muslims and anyone else who ISNT English......... Im pi**ed off with seeing all these cheap tac meaningless red and white flags. All they mean these days is "Football!!" No longer are they something to be proud of. And all you lot who have them fluttering all over your cars and hanging out of your windows would probably run and hide under the stairs if England ever REALLY needed your support. Would you be waving your cheap tac flags and shouting INGERRRRLAND then???? I think not. Patriotic????? Dont make me laugh!!!

Why would anyone have to remind their neighbours that not only are they a given nationality, but that also like to fly flags? What would such behaviour actually prove?
I've served in the British armed forces (not "English"), and am as proud a Brit as I am of the country in which I was born, but I do not feel the necessity to fly little flags to supposedly demonstrate my loyalty to my nation, i.e. the U.K. I showed my loyalty by serving my nation.

Actually OrcadianOil the reason English people should fly their national flag every day with pride is simple.... Because people would object!!! I have a neighbour who had a flag draped between his upstairs windows. He put it up a month before the world cup started. The council came along and told him he had to take it down incase it caused offence to the very high Asian population in the area. But I expect you agree with that too. Its because of your type of people that this country is in the state its in... ST Georges flags need to be flown as a reminder that there are still ENGLISH people living on this tiny over crowded island.
