Yes have done it and the effect is lovely but labour intensive. Very rewarding if people who are recipients of your work appreciate it....but sadly a lot don't but have a go it really is rewarding.
Dunitall, can I ask...
I have done something with flowers and leaves, embossed the outline from the back, then went to fill in the centres which came out rather patchy and disappointing. How do you get a nice overall effect when embossing please?
I brought a parchment craft set a little while ago. It was an impulse buy I spotted on eBay. There are plenty of YouTube videos to help get you started:
Ferlew it may be down to size of embossing tool you use for the centres of the flowers, also some people just draw lines on the flowers with tiny embossing tool rather than use one to do the whole petal or flower. There are some video help guides on u tube to show you or you can google pergamano/parchment craft for photos of how to do it which can be very helpful. It's lovely when it's done as it should be so I do think watching a tutorial would be very helpful. Hope you manage it and enjoy the work.
Thanks, just looked at project 2, and that is showing the line technique on the tops of the petals. Even though my effort is rather naive, it looks kind of pretty.
