Just read the other thread, and wanted to share about my experience.
Sunday, I went to the gym in my car, came out and I had a ticket. I had forgotten my blue badge too.
Thought... soddit, my own silly fault, came home and paid it.
Tuesday, went to my village coffee/bingo morning at the village pub, won £25.50, paying my fine early it cost £25 - so I reckon I am still up 50p :)
I used to park in my local council car park which was never patrolled - until the morning it was - dammit, a fine. No choice than to pay, I knew I should have bought a ticket really, but the locals had got away with it for ages.
Hardly, nimrood - parking fines are local - our local authority has made a shedload on parking fines in the past year It's nothing to do with the immigration issues.
Stupid reply concerning immigrants...I am amazed as well that anybody could post such drivel. But look at the time of the post...just back from the Pub perhaps ?
Ivor, sometimes a person with a genuine blue badge may appear to be fit and healthy.
My dad had one as he had COPD, followed by a double lung transplant. Some days he couldn't walk the length of himself so he would use his badge to park in disabled spots. Other days he was great so would just use a regular parking space. I'm sure people would see him getting out of his car on a good day and wonder if his badge was a fake.

im fully aware of the disability rules and regs these were as i stated in some cases young 20 year olds going into the shopping mall,a lot of these using blue badges actually think there for all users driving the car. there only for use whilst the disable person is driving or being driven,
