A Bit Weird ?

I've had my iPad for over a year now and every time I turn it on I'm aware of a faint smell, not something I can identify, ie its not smoking, has anyone else noticed anything similar ?

Hi Steff. Is your iPad old enough to smoke? I can't smell anything from here!

I don't think that they have any moving parts, i.e fans etc, but do you leave it plugged into the mains when you are using it?

Hi twix, no I've usually only plugged it in to recharge. It's not a chemical smell, but I've usually got it quite close to my face and, well, it's definitely there !

yes some ipads and iphones do emit a strange smell.i remember it being a problem a while back
id take it to where you got it from or an apple store and ask for advice on this

I've never noticed a smell from mine and I have the nose of a bloodhound.

Maybe it comes with its own air freshener !! And maybe I should shut it down and go back to sleep, it's 3.30 am here !
