Although you haven't specifically mentioned paracetamol, many people do not realise that such an overdose will kill days or even weeks after ingestion because it destroys the liver. If an individual does not receive immediate treatment or an antidote, the liver will be irreparably damaged.
I sincerely hope you have not taken this drug and that medical treatment tomorrow will help you back to good health. Please inform your psychiatrist and trust in his/her treatment. Best wishes.
Hi Supressed,
My daughter used to feel like you and used to self-harm too. Not really advice, but she has now got a seven month old daughter and is the happiest person on earth. You never know what will happen in the future - so let it happen - life changes - you may not know what will happen, but just let it happen.
As regards the overdose, go to A&E cos the effects can be serious - mostly liver damage.
Wishing you well hun xxxxxxxxxxx

As a minor you need to consult a parent or guardian.
Hi Suppressed, glad you sorted that one out, but there's obviously a lot going on in your life.
I suffered with depression which was at it's worse when I was 17, so I do understand how you feel, some people think it's just part of being a teenager, but mine was certainly above and beyond that, and I believe yours is too. There are also many others on AB who understand and have been through things like this themselves.
Sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers, and I want to echo what Smudge has said that we are here if you want to get things off your chest. You'll find us non-jugemental on the whole and sometimes someone says something which can really really help.
I could go on and on about my experiences, but I wont just now unless you ask. I know how isolated you're feeling, but there are many people here who have felt or feel the same, just come and talk if you're feeling down.
AB doesn't have the fastest turnover of answers, so if you need immediate help, it's best to ring one of the numbers the Ed has left for you. But if you want general experiences or suggestions, just ask x x good luck sweets x
You should try excercise - gym, bike ride, walking.
When Im feeling down I pump iron, it lets off stress which I presume releases some chemical in the brain or something. Medical experts are trying to promote the excercise route, so i presume they have some facts about it.
Loneliness can contribute. You may not want to be in a large group, but a small friendly group just meeting regularly in a coffee shop or something talking about TV or football or whatever you are interested in.
Long term you need to find a direction in life, something that will make you happy. It does not need to be a big thing, like succesful career, but just something that makes you feel good inside.
