child locking on citroen xsara
hello
we bought a citroen xsara 1999 estate deisel yesterday and can not find the switch to turn off the child locking in the back. would anyone know where it might be on this model?. i know it has one because there are little lights in the rear doors to say if it is on or off. also this car is suppossed to have a passenger seat airbag override button so that child seats can be used in the front. where might that be as well? sorry for sounding thick but this is our first car and came without a manual. thanks

for the rear door locking it is usually where the lock mechanism is in the door, might be a switch or something similar to a key to turn, sometimes they are hidden behind the catch inside a little bit.
the airbag could be when you open the passenger or driver door in the gap that normally gets closed up, or have a keyhole in the center colsole somewhere or even in glove box. best to just look around everywhere hidden under the dash and that maby in fuse box.
if that doesnt help you try searching on the web for e-manuals for your car i know there is one for every car, exactly the same as the original just not in a book and completely free, but i cant help you with where to look. i ended up paying a fiver for one off e bay.
hope i've managed to help a bit but like i say i am just guessing
hi
thanks to the two of you. it turns out that there is a key hole in the doorside that you click for the child lock. we did not see it yesterday as the car was delivered late in the evening. upon closer inspection today there seems to be no passenger airbag even though it was described by the seller as having one.not to worry. thanks for your replies.
