Have We Lost Our Way With Food

I was reading an article earlier about a butchers shop who has had to remove meats hanging up in the shop window, because a few members of the public objected. He has received hate mail and been accosted for daring to show the public the goods that he sells. Is this just another example of head in the sand by the public, we eat meat, yet don't want to know where it comes from or what it looks like before it's carefully packaged in the supermarket. If that's the case i suggest that some take a look at the butchers in the capital, they don't care, its either hanging up or displayed on the slabs.

Snags, I have only eaten at a Wetherspoon's once, but on reflection it is possible that a porcine fundament may have enriched my gastronomic experience.

they might, as some are not strict adherents to Islam, i met any number of Arabs who were into girls, drinking and gambling. not necessarily in that order.

i wonder that the children and seemingly some adults don't know that pigs, cows, chicken are sources of the food they eat. If they eat in fast food, take out outlets, who knows what's in much of that .

My late father and one of his neighbours used to take turns at making brawn on a more or less monthly basis. Though it never appealed to me, my youngest daughter expressed her liking for it and my dad used to take some round to her house.

some things i have never taken to, but that's just because i didn't like the taste, not because of the animal, or not knowing how it was produced.
live eels in the sink, nan with her mallet, just about to turn them into jellied eels, or stewed, strange the things you remember. We have turned our backs on our food heritage in many ways, its no wonder many of the adults and children you see are fat as puddings.

sorry if i have posted same. but do think we should start getting back to proper food, not this packaged stuff, as been pointed out, you have no idea what's in half or more of it.

So he should remove them, leaving food open to flies and the like. Hang them in flyproof cabinets.

i have no idea if that's feasible, a butcher shop generally will have meat on the premises, either waiting to be cut up, or on display for the buyers to view.
