Winter Olympics Commentary- "slugs In Her Knickers"
26 Answers
I was watching the snowboarding from the Winter Olympics this morning and, after one girl had had a fairly difficult round, one of the male commentators said something about her having "slugs in her knickers". I didn't know what he meant but it sounded in appropriate to me. I looked it up but all I could find was something not very nice in the urban dictionary.
Did anyone else hear it and does anyone know what was meant?

if you read this it sort of explains their way of speaking, and some of the commentators comments aren't much better http:// www. telegraph. co. uk/ sport/ othersports/ winter- olympics/ 10626551/ Sochi- 2014- Winter- Olympics- BBC- apologise- after- British- snowboarder- says- huck- it. html

Yes, i suppose the BBC has always had stories like this about its commentaries. I remember David Coleman saying some athlete opened his/her legs and showed his/her class". And the one about David Gower trying to get his leg over. If only the story could be substantiated of Johnny Craddock saying on a BBC cooking programme "I hope you're doughnuts all look like Fanny's"
