So according to The Independent's Jenn Selby and a poll of 570 Britons, these are the 50 things we hate about modern life.

I am sue some of you can come up with a much more realistic list?

There are a lot of things on that list that irritate me enormously, that's for sure. The use of a portmanteau world like "fraping", for a start.

I don't actually 'hate' anything on the list - mostly I ignore things that irritate me, or find a way to work around them.

i tried to look up the word 'fraping', and got a couple of definitions - if anyone can advise me of the common usage, I will consider myself a little more educated today than I was yesterday.

There was a thing on facebook this morning saying 'things that people hate about the British'

One American said 'I hate how British people call themselves English, you're not a language'

It made me laugh...

So in modern life I hate daft people :-)

Got to be careful with darts though- you could put someones eye out with one.

The reason I particularly dislike the word fraping is because I think it trivialises the word rape.

I`d like to know who the 570 people were that were asked. Many of the things on the list would be completely foreign to someone of my Mother`s generation. It sounds like the 'hates' were those of a young generation and not exactly from a cross section of the population. I don`t hate any of them - they are irritations. Hate is too strong a word.
