You decided against fitting it to the inside then?
I hope the suckers hold it on well!

there is no reason to think that they won't, boxtops - as it is designed to work

the only thing that would dislodge it would be extreme weather - and i can do nothing about that
Ah, you've done it at last, good for you. I hope you got the one with the pointy roof. What seeds have you put in it excel, sunflower hearts are my favourite for attracting a wide variety of our feathered friends aka birds.
Fingers crossed! (as long as you don't get heavy birds....) well done you - I can't feed the birds, it's too like dinner on a plate for the catz :-(

Boxy, if he got the one with the pointy roof it stops the large birds like pigeons sitting on top of it. Also, the one with 3 rather than 2 suckers is less likely to fall off. Success is in the detail:-)
Eek Baldric, Nooooooo!

Just seen your reply excel. Not come across one of those before. Can't see how many suckers its got. I suppose the sloping roof with keep the pigeons off. Magpies are a bit craftier though. Let us know how you get on. I was so thrilled when they first started coming to mine. What seeds have you put in? Do let us know when they start arriving. Good luck.

how thoughtful alba, thank you
Excel....a little vegetable or baby oil is recommended for the suckers...less likely to pop off or be affected by change in temperature.

Live mealworms should bring the birds but if not they are entertaining in themselves....x
