Monarch Airkine Query

Just booked a flight online with monarch, filled the form in, but got a message saying payment pending, contact us. is this typical? I can see me having to make a very expensive phonecall : (

Have you heard from them yet piggy? I think the payment normally goes through straightaway and you get an e-mail confirmation so on the face of it there might be a problem.

Who do you bank with? A couple of time recently Nationwide have been so slow confirming a payment that I've cancelled the transaction. Going on again in a couple of minutes it's gone through with no problems.

It might be your international links slowing it up, piggy? I've never had that problem with Monarch, although it can take a minute or so for the transaction to be verified with the card I've used.

its 4.18 spanish time, or 3.18 gmt, and still no word from monarch.
its the 1st time i´ve used them.
i only usually use ryanair, who always confirm within seconds

There must be something wrong, did you actually get a booking reference? If so you could check my booking on their website. If not it needs that phone call or a check with your bank. It could be you've got no flight booked at all. Monarch are generally very reliable, at least so as Ryanair.

piggy...out of about 50 bookings with Monarch in the last 10 years that has happened to me once.

You have not booked your flight.

Start all over again.

thanx folks, problem solved, i took prudies advice, went to the monarch website, then to check bookings, put my booking details in, and clicked, then was told flight is confirmed, payment accepted. what a rs about face way of doing things. most airlines email you with a confirmation, not monarch!!

piggy...Monarch have ALWAYS sent me a confirmation booking.

I always take Prudie's advice.............;-)

sqad, thats whats strange, they did send me a confirmation, but when i opened it, it said the payment was pending!!
