Just seen a shop branded as a 'Mediterranean' hairdressers. And a Cancer Research charity shop with a poster in the window which read '(name of local town) cancer charity is coming to get you' as advertising for a fun run.

Presumably those who live in the Med, occasionally come here (lawdy knows why) and they'll need a hair-cut?

Strange way to advertise for a fun run.

Zacs, do you live in a strange town? :-D
Question Author
Royston Vasey Alba.
say no more Zacs :-)
(folk have to live somewhere)

How's everyone doing? (sorry, off topic)
Question Author
Everyone? In Royston or on AB?
lol Zacs x :-)

No need to answer about the ab'ers, we all know the answer to that!

Dunno anyone in Royston, so that just leaves Dad.
I'm sure you mentioned that he was not well at the moment.

Aren't they all dearie!

Ah right. You're very kind to ask. He's just about to start a trial hormone drug in pill form to try to slow down the cancer but to be frank, he's fast running out of energy. It's been 3 years of hospital appointments, pain management and other associated complications. I suppose this is what happens when your 81 but it's taking it's toll on my mum too who's 79 and has just gone thru bladder cancer herself.
I never knew those patterns were mediterranean, you l;earn something new every day.

'Full Service (Hair, Shave, Wash, Towel & Massage) £21
Children under 12 £7
OAP Cut £7'

If I could have bought a child for £7, I'd have saved myself a fortune.

(Hi Bookie xx)

Hi, alba. We're still battling on. xx
Fingers crossed for him Zacs, I can only imagine the worry you've had. x
Hope Mum will be ok.

Thanks alba.
On the topic of Mediterranean hairdressers, look what I found! Not quite Mediterranean, but it does look as if some foreign hairdressers are promoting English hairstyles:

Bookbinder, did you think I was making it up?
Now, Zacs! Would I, could I? What a suggestion! I am cut to the quick!
I thought all these new modern barber shops that are springing up everywhere all did these fancy styles ?
Zacs pls keep us informed how Dad is doing and I wish him well.
About 25 years ago I used to work in Town and I used a barbers called something like the Maltese Bros. It was owned and operated by 3 brothers, who were alike and triplets. They all looked like swarthy gangsters and in fact it was like having your haircut by the cast of the Godfather Part 1 and 2.
