I need about 20 feet of screened cable to go from my HI-FI to my computer so I can record a few LP's to my Computer,so I went to Comets and spoke to there manager all he could sell me was 1.5 Metre long of 3.5mm Stereo"Y" Adapter, pair of RCA Inline Connector and 10 Metres of 2x Phono Plug /2xPhono Plug is this correct to work from the HI-FI to the Computer and is screened.I am a novice so I hope I was advised right.Any input would be appreciated, and thankyou in advance.

Thankyou,Thunderchild, spacechimp & bob57 I know how to connect the cables up to each other, but my cousin in London told me to get the cables screened to stop intrference I hope I have. Thanks once again.
try 'limewire' you can download your lp's of the net and stick them on cd quickly & easily

Speaker cable is for the other side of the amp, it's not the same stuff you'll use for connecting line-level signals together.

Most cables will be screened, you'd be very hard pushed to find an audio cable that isn't.
