My daughter is in her 2nd year at Uni doing Sociology and has decided she would like a career in Events management? She needs to get work experience this summer, any ideas on who or what to contact about doing work experience?

local councils put on summer events and are always short of staff. She would likely do better if she had stuff like a first aid cert, experience in dealing with children, anything that shows she has skills which are useful for public events.

We live in North Yorkshire. My daughters Uni is in the midlands. I won't say which one, but suffice to say, the tutors have been little or no help in the past when she's needed info or help. don't know what they get paid for, but apart from giving lectures, they don't do anything out of their job discription!!!Just a small rant there..
But local councils is a good idea, and we have a flat racecourse which does various summer events
