This is probably a stupid question but I will ask anyway.
My little boy (the handsome one in my avatar) was seen licking/sucking the end of the wire of my Kindle re-charger. I have one that can be plugged into the mains electricity. I keep it plugged into the mains all the time ~ it was the end that plugs into the kindle that was so interesting to a little cat.
I told him that he could electrocute himself but he assured me that he wouldn't.
You are - if the power is switched on, Frankie could electrocute himself. My sister did that with an electric fire - picked up the wrong end of the lead when it was plugged in :-(
Anyway, if your beautiful boy is plugged into the circuitry, it is possible that he is being subjected to a mere 5volts which is unlikely to do any harm; even to a mouse.
Thanks folks. I will try and keep it out of reach ~ but he is like a Labrador when it comes to food. He was a greedy pig before he started getting regular steroid jabs for his asthma.
Whilst typing this his sister Merlin, Warrior Princess has been headbutting me to get me to pay attention to her. She is so stupid that it is frightening. You would think that girl cats would be smarter. :-)
Have you ever put your tongue on the end of a 9v battery? It gives an interesting tingle.
I don't know what voltage you need to charge your Kindle, certainly less than needed for electrocution, but possibly enough to make it interesting to a cat.
alba ~ I got as far as pound stretcher and saw that their pepsi max was half the price of Tesco. I filled up my rucksack.
I am not at all sure about Merlin ~ the vet said that there was a few sandwiches short in her picnic basket. That was just before she turned into a demon and attacked the vet and the vet nurse.
Graham ~ girls don't usually think about licking batteries. But Frankie eats prawn crackers from the chinese ~ I think that it is the texture that he likes. So maybe he just likes a tingly mouth.
Hans and black cat ~ I am sure that it is not a suicide bid but I think that he just does these things to get my attention.
I think that I will go and buy cat food on Tesco.com. ;-)
