Rather an odd thing this ? How about all the other people who deserve help with IHT ( which hardly anybody pays in Britain by the way )

a nice gesture that is unlikely to cost the treasury more than tuppence a year, perhaps. Paying nurses more would be an even nicer gesture, but that really would cost money.

So it's the smokers who are going to be financing the national debt from now on? Everyone else seemd to be getting a break of one sort or another.
