Hi,
got audacity working, recording from tape into computer, but now playback through windows player is so fast it sounds like the chipmonks. i have googled it, but no one seems to know the answer. anyone here got any ideas please??
thanks,
annie.
Top right corner of the audacity screen there is a slider for speed, move this appropriatey whilst the track is playing then click on the green arrow. The speed should change to the new setting,
Tried VLC, same problem. plays fine when monitoring and on playback on audacity, but when saved to desktop and replayed, either in VLC or windows player it is muffled, fast, and sounds like the caroton characters talking. very weird. i just noticed on the export command that the other export command below it, can't remember what it says, is not highlighting anymore.
Pitch high, weird sounds from backing music, you can just about work out what song it is. i wasn't doing this yesterday, and nothing i have done has changed. same tape player etc. nothing been touched or altered. strange that if you google it, lots of people have the same problem, yet no one seems to know the answer. i would have thought that audacity would have a solution.
hi all,
Well insanity is close. i googled "chipmonks in audacity" and plenty of pages telling you how to get that sound!!! no one seems to know how to do just a straight recording and save it as mp3. without the chipmonks backing. have changed all speed settings, bit rate will not go to 8, starts at 16 ( don't know why i think 8 is good) tried setting all parameters the same, still rubbish. so annoying as Audacity has always been good for me, simple. HELP!!!
