I have looked on the Royal Mail Website but their are no jobs in my area. Is their any other ways of getting a job as a Postman and how?

they often advertise locally on there.

As a postman, all I can say is don't be a fool, find something else. The job is rapidly changing for the worst as a result of deregulation, and may not even exist within a year or two.

I agree with postdog stay away from Royal Mail. Iworked for them for 15 years and at the age of 42 left and trained to be a gas service engineer. It was the best move I made.

you could send a spec letter to all the your local sorting offices - there can't be that many

In my experience nepotism is still rife within the Royal Mail so unless you have a second cousin twice removed working there you have no chance!
