Hi - does anyone know how many episodes of Coumbo were made, and over what timespan.

Peter Falk was Columbo in 1968 in Prescription for Murder

There was then a gap until 1971 when he started again until a 2003 episode

I counted 69 episodes on his bio http://www.us.imdb.com/name/nm0000393/

There have indeed been 69 episodes- 45 made between 1968 and 1978, then a gap until 1989, since when a further 24 have been made.

I was reading through them last night on Imdb and the one from 2000 - Murder with too many notes was shown on Hallmark about 3 weeks ago. It stars billy connolly as the murerer but I had never seen it before and neither had my dad who is nuts about Columbo and has brought me up watching them. I couldn't believe that the first Columbo was made in 1968 - that's almost 40years ago - scary - even I wasn't born then
