One of Mics carers is upsetting Mic by saying I am going to change your nappy. I have asked her on several occasions not to say nappy. She says I'm only joking.
When she left yesterday Mic said I'm not a baby, only babies wear nappies.
I tried to reassure him saying you're not wearing a nappy, just a pad in case you have an accident. I will add that the woman she works with has told her not to say nappy.
This evening the same carer came to attend Mic. When she once again mentioned the nappy word I decided enough was enough.
I said to her "If I called you a big fat pig, then followed it up with I was only joking would you find it funny". Her opposite number laughed and said you asked for that.
I bet she reports me tomorrow to the powers that be.
Do I care?
Once again I thank you all. Never in my life Have I reported anyone and I don't intend to start now. Mic is moving on to agency carers as I said earlier the local authority only do it for a set period.
If I'm not happy with the new agency you will hear me shout.
I'm with ummmm, someone else might not be as strong as you. I realise you have a tonne of *** to deal with but if you report her you might save someone else a load of grief (maybe someone who can't deal with it as well as you).
Sherr, do you really feel I'm dealing with my situation well? I don't. My house hasn't had a good clean since Mic became ill. Before he was ill we were about to decorate. All that is now on the back burner.
Ummm she's probably in the only job available in her area, at minimum wage.
The people we should be castigating are the people so careless in employing her.
It'll only get dirty again, who cares how it looks - it's the people in it who are important. You're still doing what you're doing, you're doing a fab job (many couldn't or wouldn't). You could have left Mic in the hospital, but you didn't. Go you, xxx
Jeza you truly have my sympathy having been there with CS, I also refused a nursing home for him and also said I wasn't happy with 6 strange carers each day , the social services woman then said it was unusual but sometimes they gave you a set amount of money and you could employ you own people and she would put it to the board this would have suited us better as I knew 4 ladies who would have been glad of the job. Unfortunately CS died that night, I never ever heard from that woman again not even a "sorry for your loss" call she must have been notified and we were crossed off her list. It seems the word "caring" has gone from nursing.
Gness you and I would make god fearing team methinks ?
Dee, I don't know how long ago you are talking about but anyone is entitled to have direct payment instead of care now.

That carer should never be allowed to care for patients ever again.
She was totally out of order and very uncaring.
Doubt if she will ever return now. Good luck jeza.
