I have two daughters the eldest is big built, the youngest slim built, you can imagine what sort of arguments and comments that has created. I can eat like a horse and never put on weight while my wife only has to look at food and piles on the pounds.
I know its easy to say but we all have our hang-ups, some easier to live with than others and as difficult as it may be you should seek the opinion and guidance from a doctor, with help and guidance from qualified people I am confident that you will not only lose weight properly but also overcome your feelings and be a lot happier.
Good luck and best wishes
Lizzie, by the sound of things you already know what most are going to say, but just dont want to hear it.
Please understand that if people are concerned enough to sit and write replies to you- they must have a point eh !
As el duerino says, self esteem and confidence are the key. why not give it a try, forget about it for a week or so- really cheer up, be chattier, funnier, get out and about and make the effort to have a great laugh with everyone you know.
I too promise you will see the difference and probably wont look back !

Hiya Lizzie, please keep smiling!
Unfortunatly the ONLY way your going to loose weight (keeping it off and staying healthy) is by burning more calories than you eat that means at least some extra exercise. I have just finished the best book it is called Jemima J by Jane Green its on special offer at the mo in Tesco or on Amazon, it is a fiction book about a woman that weighs i think about 13st or something she hates exercise but by the end of the book she looses weight and it stays off, although this is just a story it is brilliant you should def buy it, i think you may be able to relate to Jemima.
(dont forget walking and swimming are great simple ways of exercise!!)
I hope this helps, dont forget the going to see yuor doctor might be a good idea to, please let me know how you get on and if you like the book x x
The only foolproof way to lose weight is to eat less and do more exercise, and to lose it slowly.
Try not to take any notice of fad diets like Atkins - there is absolutely nothing wrong with carbs.
Last thing, ask 10 blokes whether they prefer skinny women or 'normal' women (which at 8.6 stone you definately are), and I guarantee Posh Spice loses out for at least 8 of them, myself included!
A doctor will advise if you need to loose weight how best to do it, if you dont maybe sort out a bit of counselling. Also docs can give you weight loss tablets but by the amount you weigh i doubt if he would give you tablets!!
Illness can be caused by being overweight thats why i think some people were advising that!!

thank you krissi04. i no exercise is the best way but i find it very hard, ive always hated it and i know i always will. i cant get to gyms beacuse im to younge, and at school they dont help. i do sit ups 3 times a week now. about 30 -50 each time. ive done 100 before but that was just lucky! hehe. im going to go to the doctors sometimes this week beacuse one of you guys said that it would be a good idea. so thats what im going to do, i used to run on the spot for 5 mins but my mum said i was to noisy, im trying but i keep forgetting to do all my exercise. i have a memory of a goldfish.
im fed up of the way i look body wise, it gets me down so much, so im trying to do things about it jsut taking so long and is so hard to do. im going to have to leave it there beaucse im getting tears in my eyes and my step dad is in here at the moment. thankx again for the advice, always helps : ) xx
