Hi SandyRoe. Yes you can take co-codamol 4 times a day but I was just pointing out, that when taken regularly okay say 4 times a day on a regular basis they can make you constipated.
good answers so far
the upper limit for co codamol and or paracetamol is 6g /d or which is two tabs every four hours - and do not take paracetamol and co codamol together - (those two are instead of....)
Ibuprofen is pretty safe ( which is why it is off prescription )
and yes co codamol at this dose - you will next go to the bog sometime in April
If you take co-codamol regularly and are having them prescribed by the G.P. He could prescribe Laxido in satchets which you take in water and it softens the stools.
I have had no pain relief whatsoever from taking Ibuprofen & paracetamol, I have also tried Diclofenac, which didn't help. So hesitating before returning to the GP, my kind sister in law gave me a supply of Solpadol, yippee ! pain vanished. However they are only available on prescription.
