Do Birds Eat Porridge Oats?
14 Answers
Was about to throw out a large bag of old porridge oats and wondered if the birds would eat them or will it clog them up?

Oh yes. Birds do love porridge oats.
Every single day, the two robins in my garden sit on a little ledge right near our patio doors and wait for their porridge!!! (I hate leaving them while on hols)
I put out a teaspoonfull each time and spread the layer, and watch them come down all day till the oats have gone and often top up till it gets dark.
Sparrows come down too, but not as much as the robins.
Keep up the good work and please dont chuck them out, send them onto me please lol
