A Funny Thing Happened This Morning.

The district nurse came to see Mic, while she was here I cut my finger. Look blood she said it's blood. Silly mare I thought and went to get a plaster. When I came back she was as white as a ghost and said I don't like seeing blood. Are you related to Doc Martin I said. She said I don't know him does he work round here. I couldn't stop laughing.

Isn't it odd that something that we all have inside us which is vital for life , can cause some people to freak out ?

Perhaps it got something to do with the thinking that if it touches you , you will catch any disease that the person has .

I must admit that if i had to clear up some blood and i did not know from whoom it came i would ensure that i did not actually touch it

I think it's that blood usually is related to injury.

I agree Baz, but the first thing any care worker does is to put the disposable gloves on.

A district nurse should be used to the sight of blood, they have to change dressings on wounds regularly.
