Baby Has No Interest In Weaning
19 Answers
I've been trying very small amounts of various purees with my little one since about 4 months but she has always pulled a face and spat out everything I've given her. She's now 6 months and should be starting weaning properly but she still hates everything I give her! She will suck on a rusk and toast but doesn't actually eat them, just drops them after a minute or so. She's also at nursery 3 days a week and they're trying her with different things but no luck (I was hoping they might crack it as they are far more experienced with babies than me!)

I would stick with her usual milk with just a little plain baby rice in, until she gets used to the texture, and like ummmm says, don't give her milk first, so she's a bit hungry. Just try at lunchtimes until she gets the hang of it. But don't worry, current guidelines (for today) suggest not starting until they're six months old. She'll get there, don't worry x
