Looking for a cheap flight to Las Palmas in April

SkyScanner is a great site (I've recommended it myself in the past) but it doesn't always find the really cheap flights.

I don't mind trying to find some even better bargains than the ones on SkyScanner but I don't want to waste my time checking out flights from, say, Bristol if Bill lives in, say Aberdeen! So, please Bill, tell us where you live!

Cardiff. There are no flights to las palmas in sky scanner unfortunately

(2-part post):

The first part of this post is rather negative (i.e. it shows where you won't find flights rather than where you will) but I've included it to save you wasting time checking out the possibilities which I've already considered.

SkyScanner won't show any flights between Cardiff and Las Palmas because there are no scheduled services.

The Cardiff Airport website states that the only flights are charters operated on behalf of Airtours, Thomson Holidays, Holidays for Less, Skytours and Portland Direct.

Airtours only have flights on Tuesdays, operated by Britannia, and return prices for April are all over �300. (They don't list any cheap flights to Las Palmas from any other suitable airport, either).

Thomson Holidays don't offer 'flights only' from Cardiff.

Holidays for Less doesn't seem to have a web presence.

Skytours turns out to be part of Thomson.

Portland Holidays 'flights only' link goes to ThomsonFly which doesn't have flights from Cardiff to Las Palmas.

Bristol Airport's website shows that there are no direct flight, either scheduled or charter, to Las Palmas.

Starting at the other end of the system, the website for Gran Canaria Airport shows that the only scheduled flights are from Manchester or Gatwick with GB airways, or from Luton with Monarch.

The flights from Luton are on Mondays only. (The outbound flight leaves at 1410 so you'd have time to get there from Cardiff if you can find any cheap rail fares - or if you don't mind a long drive. The return flight, however, gets back too late, 2320, to catch a train back to Cardiff). Flights for the first half of the month are expensive but the outbound flights on 17/04 and 24/04 are �68.49 and �43.49 respectively. Return flights on 24/04 and 01/05 are �103.49 and �53.49 respectively.

Your best bet, however, might be to travel via Gatwick. Once again, the first half of the month is expensive but there are outbound flights on Wed 19/04, Mon 24/04 and Wed 26/04 (1455 departure) all for �50 each INCLUDING taxes and charges. There are also some quite cheap flights back. The best of these is on Wed 26/04 (arriving back at 0005 Thursday) for just �50, once again including taxes and charges. So you could travel out on the 19th and back on the 26th for a total of �100 (or more accurately, because of the weird way BA's computer adds up, �99.40). There are, however, several other options available with only slightly dearer flights.

I'm sorry that I've not been able to find any flights nearer to Cardiff. They simply don't seem to exist. I hope, however, that something here will be of help to you,
