Making A Computer Wireless.
10 Answers
I wish to move my Wifi hub to a more central position in my house so that I can receive a better Wifi signal outside in the garden.
I have been informed that the best way is to buy a USB gadget, so as to make my computer wireless.
Could anyone advise me what piece of equipment I would need to purchase?

Well my computer is connected to my super hub by an ethernet cable or at least I think that is what it is called.
So if I were to move my super hub to a different location a distance from my computer I would need to connect it with a great long cable, but with one of these USB devices I am told I wouldn't need a cable.

/// Are you talking desktop in the garden? ///
No perhaps I have not been too clear.
My problem is that my tablet, laptop or phone sometimes get unconnected from the Wifi, so I have been told to re-position my Wifi super hub in a more central position in my home.
Obviously;y the Super Hub needs to be connected with the computer which it is at present because it sits next to the computer, but if I need to reposition the Hub I will either have to have a much longer cable or get one of these USB devices.which they say will make a wire less connection between my main computer and the hub which will be several yards from the computer.

What is the make and model of your desktop, AOG? It might already be wifi enabled, like mine.
If it isn't, a simple USB wifi adapter like this will do the job.

But it is worth finding out if your pc is currently wifi enabled.

I would leave the router and PC alone and put a wifi repeater somewhere between the router and the garden. It basically picks up the wireless signal and re-broadcasts it to extend the range.
Something like that should do the trick
