Yes I do, and I cant seem to find anything to prevent it but I know some people had some ideas on how to in a question on here about a week ago. :-)
Hey smudge, aww, it looks like that answer was supposed to be a question do you think? I'm just having tea in my bone china cup by the way, and no static here.... :-)
Have a look here. The new search facility rocks, would've taken me ages to find otherwise. Used to happen to me at tennis, depending on the playing surface, when I touched the net post or the gate to the court.

Just lately they have been really bad i can get out the car touch the door when closing it nearly knocks my finger off and at work i have been in pain i have had the ocassional shock but over the last few weeks i seem to be getting them all the time

Interested to see this posting. I too have noticed an increase recently especially getting out the car, so bad that if it was dark I think the spark would light up the whole street! My trousers are always clinging to me as well - well annoying!

I get it when i get out the car (some cars are worse than others so maybe its down to the type of car) and then i get it the first time i touch something metal, like when i put the key in the front door. Aren't there some kind of anti-static keyrings you can buy?
Oh, and another thing, its worse the longer my hair is, weird huh!
My poor kids are shocked by me most days, statically i mean,Always been like it, something i live with but my youngest daughter is the same but not the other two!
This is my first posting - so be gentle with me! I have an anti-static spray in my drawer at work that I bought a couple of years ago from Debenhams (not cheap - cost about 3.50, so probably dearer now). It's for use on all fabrics/clothes/carpets/curtains etc. It's called Go Stat Anti Static Spray.

Welcome to AB - Ed Strong!

Thank you for that info, I shall phone Deb's now to see if they still do that spray. If they do, I will buy one for home & one to keep in my car. Cheers!

Morning asci - just enjoyed a nice cup of tea in my china mug too - well I did at 8:00 a.m. How time flies!

This is an interesting link too.

smudge,

Thanks for the welcome.

There is no address on the can; however, there is a phone number for Go Stat Products: 01895 630296 (if they are still in business).

Ed

Mornin' smudge, hope you're feeling an incy wincy bit better this morning, hang on in there as mr asci always tells me.... :-)

Your'e welcome & thank you too Ed. If I don't have any luck with Deb's, I shall call that number - must buy some!

Hi asci - thank you so much for your good wishes - thankfully, I am feeling a bit better today.

I saw the doc again yesterday & he, like my husband & daughters, keep reminding me that I have to be patient with myself! The pains in my chest have eased a little, thanks to the pain killers. I still have a huge lump in one of my groins where the tubes have been, but have been told that this will disappear in time. The bruises are a nice blue & sunny yellow now! I'm going to do some dusting & clearing out some drawers later, I shall enjoy that! Have a nice day yourself. :o}

dusting? cleaning out the drawers? i know it's hard to chill, but i don't suppose you're supposed to be standing for very long. Is the garden ok to just take a little walk around? get taken out for a drive? get a little bit of fresh air with the window open a little in the car? stop and take a look at a nice view?.... is the sea near by?.... rest, and rest a bit pleeese... soon you'll be tackling the dusting and spring cleaning the drawers.... but right now a lady of leisure is just what everyone has ordered.... :-)

I know, I know, you're right asci - my husband left me a note this morning, reminding me of exactly the same things!

My heart is still doing a little skipping - just to remind me too, so perhaps I'll wrap up warm & take a walk around our local market - it's not far & it'll do me good.

Thank you for caring. -x-

On second thoughts asci - I don't think I can handle the market, so I'm off to sit in the garden, feed the fish & soak up the sun before it compeltely disappears!

*completely

Enjoy that lovely pond and all those little fish, such a lovely thing to do. This is another of our things to do, build a pond! it should be near the fir tree but the cat loves to sit under it or climb up into it!!!

at the moment I'm lying in bed, lap top on lap, cat asleep and snoring in her bed whilst myself and mr asci are trying to decide whether to go green with solar powered hot water heating over the net with the architects giving us loads of advice on solar and ground source heating.
