I just came into possession of hundreds of pages of ads neatly clipped from magazines of the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Here is one just in time for Easter.

There is a drawing of a GI, with a smile on his, face throwing a hand-grenade. I suppose he is smiling because his "Reiss Scandals" are not twisting and binding during this activity:)
There were a couple on your link that made me smile wolf,especially Sabrina and her "projections" advertising a cooker and the one for Oveltine that made you wake up "Gay" in the morning. I wander what would happen if they tried the same today.

Paddywak, in some old novels, especially British you would often read something like: " During a heated argument between Lionel and Geoffrey, Reginald suddenly ejaculated into the conversation, ' I say, old chaps, I do believe that you're both jolly well over reacting.'" I don't think you'd find that word being used in that fashion today:)
