We had a small 3.1 earthquake here at 7.07am - but it happened just before our alarm clock went off, so we missed it! typical! :(
Did any of you East Midlanders feel it?

Had to smile, as people near Oakham were being interviewed for press reports, one lady said "I thought it must be an earthquake as my toothbrush fell into the sink!" Believe you me, that IS exciting news for our part of the country :))

good morning Ann (happy easter)

you have always made the earth move for me
No but I was awake for the earthquake in Feb 2008.
Ann.....I was aware of something but in my sleepy state thought the barn door propped against the fence had fallen over....god knows why because there is no barn door....my imagination doesn't sleep.

Why thanks Excel! I never knew I had that effect on you!! ;)
BTW, Hubby said when he heard the news first on the radio "Was that you getting out of bed at 7.07am?" Cheeky monkey!
nothing much at this end since 2008, the Earth has turned abit but not really shaken.

We were awake for the big earthquake in 2008, it was about 1am, the house shook and all the wardrobe doors and cupboards opened, very very scary, but in a way it was quite an experience to remember. My poor Mum rang me in a complete panic, so did my brother, who was terrified all night.
Not even a nudge up this end of the country Ann

No Nun, the epicentre was near Oakham, Rutland, only a few miles up the road from us. Can't believe we slept through it!
when this one happened

I'd popped in to see a friend at a factory in Dover, as I was leaving we noticed all the rest of the factory had evacuated, the building we were in was built on special foundations as they calibrated instruments in it, so no, the Earth didn't move on that occasion either!
I did wonder what was happening when the tectonic plates decided to shift, I did think for a brief second that my number was up.
