I hope everyone has got their order in with the Butcher - I've just rung and got "The Last Leg" ...

... I shall be studding mine with anchovies, marinating in a mustard and balsamic gunk and then roasting on Sunday.

Probably serving with cauli cheese, spring greens and the usual roast root veg.

Blimey I'm hungry now :)

PS - not really fussed on some herbs ie rosemary etc. or mint.

Just like a bit of oregano in lasagne or bolognese when I make that of course. JJCon
237, I don't think garlic's too overpowering but if in doubt, try using half what the recipe suggests for a first go and take it from there. Dave's version with anchovies is good too, red wine gravy is lovely
Aldi are selling legs of lamb (fresh) at £3.99 kilo, if anyone is interested.
"stud with anchovies" = sacrilege !
