ive got normal black out blinds from argos in each of the kids rooms. They are pretty good and just fit like normal blinds.
Word of warning though, if you do get them fitted well, its rather difficult to wake up in total darkness until you get used to it

Yes they do work. we got our from IKEA....

Like Red says...it's harder to wake up.

yes they are great in the summer. I have had them for years. mine were fitted by hillary's blinds

Thanks for the reply's folks but want to know that the ones that you cut to size are any good from Argos and homebase etc? Hillarys are to expensive for me.

Ive had mine for years and they were quite expensive but they have lasted! i'm sure the ones from argos etc would be just as good but I wouldn't have a clue how to fit them sorry

Yes we have. It's great to have it since it not only protects you from the sun or the excessive light coming from it but it also helps you keep your privacy as well. There are DIY kits now or you can hire a professional to have it installed on your window.
