What Should I Do?
1 Answers
My closet friend asked me to never go anywhere with her best friend (who is a guy) after we first met. She has very strong romantic feelings towards him. One night me and her best friend were talking and we ended up sexting. I do this a lot and can't control myself. The next day she found out and hates me for doing that. He seemed to get off the hook because he'd been drinking even though he started drinking after we finished sexting. She says she's forgiven me but I know she hasn't because of some of the messages she's sending me. She told me to back off however told me her best friend and I could keep talking to each other. I have an addiction to self harm and promised I would stop and I have but with all this going on I am extremely tempted and finding it hard to control my feelings and very frightened of what I could end up doing to myself.

As for your friendships/relationships, you need to decide what is most important to you. That said sexual attraction may not last but an established friendship will have already proved valuable. I'd suggest not muscling in on this guy whilst your friend still expresses interest/hope is the morally higher path. Willpower strengthens when exercised. You may consider that a benefit.
