I'm back.

I took him a bottle of alcohol free red wine a half a dozen tins of shandy. He was very pleased with that. There were eggs left in Sainsbury's but not reduced and I thought, 'What a waste of money, I'll get him something to drink instead.'


The home he's in will give him an Easter Egg in the morning.

Giving my niece and nephew two large boxes of Maltesers instead; they are, after all eighteen and fifteen, arriving tomorrow. The chocs will probably end up in their home made Malteser-flavoured ice-cream.

Thanks, excel. He's very chirpy at the moment. He is not allowed alcohol though, which is a great pity because he did like a drink in his younger, healthier days.
