if you look at a question, and contribute, do you read all the posts that it relates to, even if its lengthy, i wondered this for a while, as i am sure some don't, if its two hundred replies say, would you read them all.

If I'm thinking of answering then yes I will always. I don't know why but I find it a bit dismissive when people obviously don't (by posting almost exactly what someone else has already put).

Therein lies the truth Baldric, some only read the answers from their favourites.
Depends on if its something I'm really interested in and want to know peoples opinions. I do sometimes make the mistake of reading spoilers in the TV topic though. That's quite annoying but that's my problem.
would have been a good laugh if no-one posted after daffy. ;D

so if i or Baldric post a thread, you may or may not read the replies, because it could be too long, i know we are selective, things we are interested in, no one has time to go through every category, but each question can have its merits, and those responding with their views, good, bad and indifferent
Sometimes I can't even be bothered to read the question. Especially if it's one of those with no paragraphs. They are usually hard work.

enthusiasm has its down side.
It makes no difference to me who the poster is. If I'm interested, I'll read it all through. Sometimes I'll respond and then read the other posts, especially on a long thread.
If it's interesting then yes I'll read most of the answers.

There are some posters whose answers I skim briefly. Not because I don't like them but because their answers tend to be too long or make no sense.

Emmie, I wasn't so much referring to the original question, as the replies.
Some people answer having not even read the OP properly which really pees me off. They then start firing off unnecessary questions which is actually embarrassing when it's a new poster. I was guilty of doing it once and was really annoyed with myself.
If I'm going to answer I always read the whole thread.
Svejk, yes that would have been funny:-)

LB, as i do,
Baldric, i understand

some really interesting questions get few responses, some that are obviously considered chat, get hundreds.
I try as I am not PC clever to read questions that others put in which might be of interest to me in the future if I had that problem . Also I can be nosey if someone is having an argument debate but I don't join in .and I am sure we all are at times .usually if there are nearing 100 responses it has usually gone away from the subject asked in the first place .
Fred puli and barmaid are good in law - excellent in fact
and sqad for medicine
jim and jomifl quantum mechanics if I ever want to er know something there

I know it shouldnt matter who writes it - Goodlife doesnt seemto be able to get his bible quotes right - but it boils down to .....

if wincie says it is gonna rain tomorrow,
you believe it more than if your neighbour says it.

and the incredible one - rights of occupation in a mortgaged property - which turned out to be a spoof, I did read all 620 responses before the ed called it a day.

Depends upon my mood, the subject matter and who the OP is.
