Is it just gossip or the truth, that John Bercow Speaker of the house has claimed half a million in expenses in the past four years . If so, it makes Millibands trip to Israel,costing a mere twenty grand look like a sunday school outing.

This must all stop, regardless of the Party involved. They work for us and we shouldn't bankroll their extravagancies any more. What is wrong with us that we allow these abuses to continue and do little about it?

Don't miss the point. Irvine or Bercow. Doesn't matter. It is the system that is wrong, that they can all get away with it. Whatever Labour did, or Tories do, is not the point. Stop them doing it. It is our money, better spent on other things.

Irvine aside, what has Bercow done wrong? What has he 'got away with'? He's hardly pocketed the money or moved it into an offshore account, has he?
Those are expenses accrued whilst discharging the duties of Speaker Of The House of Commons, nothing more.
