Having potted a red the player leans over the table to pot the pink which is on the middle edge of the corner pocket. before plaing his shot the pink falls into the pocket. What should happen next?.

It's a foul, 6 points away and the pink respotted.
The pink should be placed on its spot.IMO
Ah! if the player touched the pink then my answer is correct BUT if he didnt touch it then danny's answer is correct.
Agree with Sqad. Once the player has addressed the table, he is deemed to be responsible for whatever occurs.

Q1 What is the ruling regarding balls falling into a pocket without being hit by another ball?
A. If the ball which falls is part of the stroke, that stroke shall be void, the balls restored to their original positions and the stroke replayed without penalty. If the fallen ball is not an integral part of the stroke the stroke shall stand and only the ball which fell shall be replaced.
