Why are 95% of motorcyclists a*******s?
I was just driving home on a 60mph road. He was doing 35mph in front of me. I tried to overtake twice (clear road ahead each time) but both times the git put his foot down to stop me getting by. He then slowed down again when I pulled in behind. If he wants to drive slow then fine, but why not let me by?
If they are not controlling the road like that, then they are overtaking at stupid times and weaving in and out of traffic. No wonder there are so many accidents. Perhaps they need 'Removal of arrogance' classes!

You see if we p1ss about we die! We have a lot of training generally and I know some of the things we do seem alien to cars but often there is a good reason, For example I have done a course with the police and there are several occasions when it's safer to filter on the wrong side of the road, cars see you doing it think you're a nutter! Anyway I can't condone the above unless he was trying to save you from a speed camera.
Anyway I don't want to start a cars v bikes argument, needless to say mostly we are sensible, perhaps you don't notice the sensible ones!
Wholeheartedly agree with Zara - car drivers should be forced to pass a bike test: bike riders make better car drivers - as opposed to just giving their side mirror a cursory glance and then driving off without a thought for yourself or others, bike riders in cars take the trouble to look behind them (well I do and others I know do) to ensure it is safe.
Also - I have lost count of the number of times I've been filtering through traffic when a car driver has seen me in their side mirrors and then moved out to force me on to the other side of the road. Why? Is it becuase they are jealous because I am getting somewhere quicker than them? Or is it becuase they haven't got the swingers to jump on a bike and they are making up for their lack of masculinity? (last point is slightly tongue in cheek).
This isn't funny, this is ******* dangerous - the last time it happened i was so angry that when I went passed the pillock at the next set of lights I kicked the crap out of his side mirror - it was a merc so I'm hoping his petulance cost him dear! I'm not proud of it, but I was so furious that I thought it was better to take my anger out on his car than him.
Like it or like it not, we all have to share the road with other users, be it motorcyclists, cyclists etc. I don't ride a motorcyle now, but have done so in the past. If I see a motorbike in my mirrors, which I check frequently, I try to give them room. It is only common courtesy, which is sadly lacking on the roads today.
I used to do a lot of cycling (around 400 miles a week) and I have lost count of the number of times I was cut up by some foolish idiot.
I think that a lot of car drivers would do well to practice what they preach. I had a people carrier behind me this morning, doing about 50 mph and about 20 feet behind me. If the moronic person who was driving it wasn't on having a conversation on their mobile (non -hands free) they were looking round to the baby on the back seat. If I had braked in emergency they would have been in the back of me.
