My reply was that as i didn't follow cricket, in fact found it boring, i did not know.He concluded that i was the most un-English Englishman he had ever come across. An honest score of 12 but I want to claim 9 instead.
A - I was obliged to attend a Save The Children function and was introduced to the patron, Princess Anne (a nice big lassie, by the way).
B - A girl I knew married an Englishman and they moved to Hong Kong in the early 90s. I was invited over and one of the 'delights' was that he had bought me a ticket for the Sixes Cricket Matches. Oh Joy!!!
C - The Glasgow Warriors Rugby Club moved into Firhill Stadium (Partick Thistle FC's ground) a few years ago. Thistle are my local team and so out of curiosity I went along to see a rugby match. Curiosity killed more than the cat!! Thankfully they've moved to the west end of the city to be amongst their own (chancers).
