A doctor is to stand trial in Egypt for carrying out a FGM procedure which resulted in the death of a young girl. This comes some time after a doctor at the Whittington Hospital in London appeared in court to face charges of carrying out a similar procedure which, fortunately, didn't result in death for the patient.

Would he have have stood tried if the girl hadnt died? Even though the practise has been outlawed in Egypt since 2008 it is commonplace.
