what is an airport auction and where can i get info about them

I assume it's a little like the sort of thing we did when I worked for a ferry company. People would leave all sorts behind and every year they would have a clearout. This would be in the form of a closed bid auction on items.

Sorry don't have any idea where to get information on them.

Call the Airport Manager or Security Manager for the airport you want to visit for the sale dates - not the Info desk in the concourse, but the Operations managers.

'Lost property at the airport will be held for a period of three months. Items not claimed and colected after three months will be disposed of or sold at auction.

For enquiries about lost property please contact the Duty Security Supervisor in the terminal building or call 01667 464000 (Monday to Friday 0900 to 1630).'
