I've just bought a brand new one off ebay for 45. First impressionas are that it extracts loads of juice- we've tried carrots, apples, pears & oranges so far. The pulp is very dry as they show in the ad and the motor is very quiet. However, so far I've found the cleaning a bit more involved than in the ad. There are 5 parts that need to be cleaned ( about half a dishwasher full!) and the blade part needs to be taken apart using a special tool they provide. However, I've started handwashing it and it's ok, but certainly requires more than a run under a tap!.

I've got the Jack la Lanne compact from qvc. It doesn't require any tools for disassembly and while you can put it all in the dishwasher, I just put it all under warm running water which is dead easy. If you are going to get one new, qvc is a good place as they offer a 30 day no quibble money back thing so you can use it, try it and if you don't like it, send it back, all you are out is the postage and packing.
