Big Garden Birdwatch
2 Answers
Why do they do this birdwatch so early in the year? Surely it would be more indicative as to what birds are around if it was done in Spring.
Today in my garden I've had Greenfinches (Yeah), Chaffinches, a Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Robins, Blackbirds, Goldfinches, Wood pigeons, Collard Doves, Feral pigeons, Magpies, Sparrows by the dozen and a Wren
............yesterday the Sparrowhawk sat on the fence.
When I did the BGB in January, was it, I recorded a couple of Blackbirds, a few Sparrows and a Robin.
